Chris Vedeler, L.Ac
Chris is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Arizona and Assistant Professor at Sonoran University. He is also the acting department head of Chinese medicine at Sonoran University. He has been an adjunct professor of Chinese medicine since 2005, teaching at Sonoran University since 2011 and teaching at Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture (PIHMA) since 2005. He has a private acupuncture practice in Tempe, Arizona where he shares his office with his wife and has been treating patients since 2006.
His primary interest areas are in the study of consciousness, the power of the mind in healing and the treatment of pain and emotional issues using Chinese medicine. Chris is equally comfortable discussing scientific theories as well as the ancient philosophy and healing arts of Chinese medicine.
Chinese medicine works with your own vital energy to facilitate gentle, holistic, and natural healing. While all efforts are made to relieve your symptoms, an equal or greater emphasis is placed on rebuilding your body's innate ability to maintain health and vitality by bringing all of the body's systems into balance.
When he is not teaching or practicing Chinese medicine, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, learning about history, astronomy and psychology. He also enjoys being in nature, appreciating art and music, working on cars and doing home remodeling.

"I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of treatment I received from Chris Vedeler. He tried a technique on me that was right on the money with the results. I was looking for an acupuncture treatment that was beyond the physical and incorporated more spiritual results. This kind of technique is hard to find in Tucson so I travel all the way to Scottsdale just to go to Oasis Acupuncture. The environment is very pristine and Chris warm personality is always calming."
"Chris Vedeler is a professional, compassionate and intuitive healer. He has a tremendous sense of "Balance". The residents of Arizona are fortunate to have him here. I predict that Chris will be one of the most sought-after and renowned acupuncturists in this state. I would never hesitate to recommend Chris's services to anyone. Even the most skeptical patients will be impressed when they experience his proficient capabilities. If you have never experienced acupuncture, then please consider the potential healing capacity that Chinese Medicine can offer you."

"In the fall of 2004 I was diagnosed with three autoimmune diseases (sarcoidosis, autoimmune hepatitis and HLA B27). My team of doctors put me on large doses of prednisone, sulfa drugs and other medications. While the medication initially helped diminish some of my symptoms, the underlying problems still remained... My herbalist then suggested I get acupuncture and recommended Chris at Oasis Acupuncture. I made the appointment but was very nervous about what to expect....I was very pleasantly surprised when I walked into Oasis Acupuncture. It was clean and I felt safe. He was one of the first people I had worked with that recognized how difficult it must be to be 27 and have these ailments. Chris definitely made the initial process much easier. He answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable with the procedure....I have been going to Oasis Acupuncture for over a year and it has mad a world of difference! My doctors have seen significant improvements in my blood work and have been able to reduce my medications to almost nothing. It is fantastic! I can honestly say that without acupuncture treatments I would not be functioning at the normal level I do today. I am forever grateful to acupuncture and to Chris for making it such a painless process. Thank you!"

"Chris was able to clear up my problem with three sessions of acupuncture! My Achilles tendons were inflamed to the point that I thought my basketball playing days were over. Incredible pain to play, and immense suffering afterwards; with no relief from any kind of pain/inflammation treatment. The first session was a mild, exploratory test for acupuncture. This was my first time trying something I hadn't experienced before, but I was desperate enough to try anything. It revealed just a little relief. For the second session Chris and I realized we needed to go further, to do a more rigorous session to realize a benefit. It worked!!! Major relief. I was on my way back from a serious impairment. Within a day or two I realized a complete recovery from a debilitating situation. The third session closed the door on the problem. I'm back running and jumping, playing full court basketball. No problems, no relapses. I almost quit basketball. I'm now playing pain-free.
