In the fall of 2004 I was diagnosed with three autoimmune diseases (sarcoidosis, autoimmune hepatitis and HLA B27). My team of doctors put me on large doses of prednisone, sulfa drugs and other medications. While the medication initially helped diminish some of my symptoms, the underlying problems still remained. The more I learned about these diseases the more I realized there is little that modern medicine knows about them and even worse, little guarantee that the medications I was taking would not further impact my body in the long run and cause more harm than good. So, I started researching on my own and found in most of the research that acupuncture and herbal treatments were found to be two of the best ways to force autoimmune conditions into remission and create a better, if not normal quality of life. Since I was fearful of acupuncture, I first sought the treatment of an herbalist, which helped but did not provide the results I was hoping for. My herbalist then suggested I get acupuncture and recommended Chris at Oasis Acupuncture. I made the appointment, but was very nervous about what to expect. I had a picture of a creepy office and scary needles. I was very pleasantly surprised when I walked into Oasis Acupuncture. It was clean and I felt safe. Chris was wonderful! He was one of the first people I had worked with that recognized how difficult it must be to be 27 and have these ailments. Chris definitely made the initial process much easier. He answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable with the procedure. During the first treatment I could literally feel movement in my body. Almost immediately following my first treatment I could see and feel a difference in all my joints and in the way I moved. It was the first time in over a year that I could see the bones in my ankles because the swelling was reduced. Even my friends noticed that I moved better and faster. I was thrilled! I
continued treatments once a week for almost three months and then
tapered to a visit once a month. I have been going to Oasis
Acupuncture for over a year and it has made a world of
difference! My doctors have seen significant improvements in my
blood work and have even been able to reduce my medications to almost
nothing. It is fantastic! I can honestly say that without
acupuncture treatments I would not be functioning at the normal level
I do today. I am forever grateful to acupuncture and to Chris

Incredible pain to play, and immense suffering afterwards; with no relief from any kind of pain/inflammation treatment. The first session was a mild exploratory test for acupuncture. This was my trying something I hadn't experienced before, but I was desperate enough to try anything. It revealed just a little relief. For the second session Chris and I realized we needed to go further, to do a more rigorous session to realize a benefit. It worked!!! Major relief. I was on my way back from a serious impairment. Within a day or two I realized a complete recovery from a debilitating situation. The third session closed the door on the problem. I'm back running and jumping, playing full court basketball. Legs. With a few sessions and some herbs my restless leg problem has
